Red Ribbon Week
It has become increasingly obvious that low airtime pilots are missing out. Often kicked out of school with their CP ticket, there are few places to turn for useful advice. Having worked so hard to gain a CP qualification its a shame that so many new pilots become disheartened by their seemingly slow progress, or worse have a scary experience that knocks their confidence. After qualifying your focus should be on gaining airtime and experience in a "club" environment which should include plenty of support. This Spring whilst conditions are still quite gentle we want to help you on your quest. Whether you like progressing slowly or fast, whether paragliding comes naturally or not, we have the perfect week for you. Two instructor guides for a small group, lots of sunshine and reliable flying conditions, excellent food and adventure guaranteed.

Aim of Course The aim of this course is to help develop autonomous pilots. Gaining a CP (or equivalent qualification) really is just the beginning, and being let loose from school with your new "ticket" whilst exhilarating can often feel more than a little bit daunting. A good instructor will have provided you with some simple tools to help keep you alive, but most pilots at this stage quickly realise that there is still a lot to learn. We want to help low air-timers develop their confidence, improve their knowledge and awareness of basic meteorological conditions (this is more important than most low air-timers realise!) develop decision making skills for launches and landings. Most of all, we want to help pilots gain as much air time as possible in as safe an environment as possible. We also realise that all pilots learn at very different rates so will be giving pilots plenty of individual encouragement and support. Although this course is aimed at low air-timers we are sure that it will also appeal to pilots with more experience looking for a relaxing holiday in the sun and pilots wanting to hone their thermalling skills. Conditions in January are gentle and reliable with plenty of soaring and thermalling opportunities.
