We're here for the week preceding the British Open to run a pre-comp training week.  We'll be basing ourselves in the Soca valley (including the Tolmin and Stol launches) for the best access to the best Mountain XC flying in this part of the world. The week will be joint hosted by Brett Janaway (multiple British Record Holder) and Toby Colombé (current World Record Holder), both of whom set their records flying in the Tolmin Soca flying arena.  This will be an excellent chance for any pilot whether competing in the British Open or not!  Expect to learn a lot about Mountain XC flying and likely tasks for the British Open.  Expand cover some distance.

Although this week is sure to be popular with pilots entering the British Open competition the following week; it will also be of immense use to pilots wanting to enter competitions in the future aswell as pilots simply wanting to further their general XC skills.  The emphasis will be on spending time in the air and XC flying with a particular bias towards task-orientated flying.

The course will include the following;

• Daily briefings and debriefings
• Flying of sites and routes that may feature in the competition
• Lectures on competition flying, instrument use and route planning.
• Accommodation arrangement (if required)
• Transport to and from your accommodation.
• Airport transfers (if required)
• Retrieves
• Site fees

The course costs £395 excluding accommodation.
We can also help you arrange B&B accommodation at Hram guesthouse a delightful little inn with it's own landing field. Prices are about £25 per night and great evening meals (eg venison) are available at less than £8 per night, and that's with wine! Mmm!
