How to Pay

We operate in remote locations all over the globe. Some of our local suppliers do not have bank accounts and so for some in-country expenses (eg. local transport, launch fees, local guides) we require a small portion of the total trip price to be paid in cash on arrival. This only applies to certain destinations and the amount, if required, will be communicated to you at time of booking. Please be assured that this is not an “extra”: it is included in the total price listed on our website.

Where our trips include accommodation, the listed price is based on two people sharing. If you prefer your own room, this is usually possible provided you inform us at time of booking. This cost is usually listed on our website and will be communicated to you at time of booking.

The deposit secures your place and is non-refundable. If you have any doubts about whether or not you will be able to make the trip we recommend taking out appropriate insurance.

Most clients choose to pay for their trip (or course) at time of booking. If your trip is more than 10 weeks away, you can opt to pay a deposit in which case for our long-haul adventures (eg. Colombia and Indian Himalayas) we require a deposit of £750. For all other destinations the required deposit is £500.

If you opted to pay only a deposit at time of booking, you will need to pay for the balance (less in-country expenses where applicable) no later than 10 weeks prior to trip start date. We will email you with a reminder shortly before that.

Once your booking has been accepted, you will receive an email and or invoice from us with full payment details. Our preferred and default payment method is bank transfer.

When making a bank transfer please use the REFERENCE CODE on your invoice.

(If you have received an invoice in GBP, but need to pay in Euros or US Dollars please email us so we can reissue your invoice in the required currency. (We use the average mid bank rate (plus less than 0.5%) – ie. much cheaper than most forex exchange options.)
